jenID and HID combine their expertise

Jena / Austin, Texas, September 15, 2026 – jenID Solutions GmbH, a specialist in ID verification software, and HID, a global leader in hardware for identity solutions, are partnering to advance digital identity and document verification. As part of the partnership, jenID’s Genuine-ID verification software is combined with HID document readers. The result is an integrated solution that helps companies and public authorities reliably capture ID documents, securely verify them, and streamline digital identity processes.

Whether for digital account opening, citizen services, border crossings, hotel check-in, or onboarding new employees – wherever identities need to be reliably verified, requirements for security, speed, and data protection are increasing. The joint solution helps reduce fraud risks, meet regulatory requirements, and digitize existing processes.

Two technologies, one common goal

At the heart of the partnership is the integration of jenID’s identity verification software Genuine-ID with HID’s ATOM3K and ADR300 document readers. These devices enable reliable document capture and data extraction, support RFID – relevant for ePassport’s, electronic identity cards, electronic driver’s licenses, and eVisas – and provide the basis for subsequent document analysis.

Genuine-ID technology classifies and analyzes identity documents, extracts verification-relevant data using OCR, and checks optical security features. Thanks to its flexible software architecture, Genuine-ID can be deployed as an SDK, server solution, cloud service, or mo-bile application and integrated into a wide range of customer environments.

Combining the two technologies creates an end-to-end process for the capture, processing, and verification of identity documents. This helps reduce manual verification steps, detect document tampering at an early stage, and efficiently enhance existing identity verification processes.
